About our Boarding Cattery

Sunrise Boarding Kennels opened in 2013, and from early on, it was clear that there was a demand for us to board cats as well - our dog boarding clients wanted to receive the same high quality care for their feline pets. Finally, in 2024, we are able to offer this service, having invested in the best quality luxury cat accommodation on the market. With experienced and qualified staff, we are able to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for your cats.

Accommodation:

Our cat chalets are modern and purpose built, constructed of high quality uPVC and with large windows for fantastic views. Each unit is individually climate controlled, with heaters, fans and ventilation to ensure your cat is perfectly comfortable, whatever the weather. We chose the largest units on offer, providing lots of space and meaning any one of our chalets can be shared by two cats from the same family. We can also combine two chalets into one extra large space, allowing groups of three or four cats from the same household to share accommodation if you wish. Chalets are constructed with plenty of shelves and ramps to give a choice of spaces for cats to chill out, and we provide lots of furniture, including baskets, cosy vet bedding, scratching posts and cat trees to ensure your feline friend is never bored. All doors are always locked and we have a comprehensive alarm system, meaning you can board your cat with peace of mind.

Exercise:

Each chalet includes a separate fully covered exercise area with ramp and shelf. Feeding enrichment, scatter feeding and hidden treats are used to encourage cats to make full use of all the spaces available to them.

Health & Hygiene:

All cats must be up to date with their vaccinations to board with us - this includes vaccination against panleukopenia, parvovirus, herpesvirus and calicivirus.

We are registered with Scott Veterinary Clinic in Bedford who are available to us if a cat boarding with us requires medical treatment, although we will always endeavour to use your own vet if possible.

We are happy to administer medications at no extra charge.

2024 daily rates:

1 cat: £18.00
2 cats sharing: £28.50
3 cats sharing: £40.50
4 cats sharing: £51.00

Charges are per calendar day.
Day of arrival: Full day if arriving AM, half day if arriving PM
Day or departure: Half day if departing AM, full day if departing PM
