About our Home Boarding

Hi, my name is Jen and I have had pets all my life, mostly small animals when I was younger, including rabbits, budgies, fish, cats and then I had my own dog when I was 16 yrs old, and had had one or two dogs ever since. I currently own two dogs, Star and Rex .
We have a local authority 5 star license for 5 dogs. The rooms are warm and comfy, carpeted, heated and containing dog beds. Your pet will also have access to the kitchen and lounge areas. we have a large secure fenced in garden at the back of the property. Prices start from £10 for solo 1-2-1 dog walking, 1-2-1 doggy day care £18, and 1-2-1 dog boarding from £20 per night including two walks and all meals and treats. Fully insured and licensed.

Accommodation:

At Star Paws & Claws, we want to look after your loved ones the way you way we look after our own pets. You dog will have its own large room to relax in if it wishes, and access to a large secure back garden. Our own dogs are kept separate in another part of the home, as we find that some boarding and day care dogs like to be by themselves with human companionship, and do not get along with other pets.

Exercise:

Our home is based in Sutton in Ashfield, on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border, where there are lots of lovely, safe walks for your dogs to enjoy and explore, in woods and open fields. We also have a large secure back garden for the rest of the time, if your dog would like to roam and play there.

Health & Hygiene:

Star Paws & Claws have insurance with ‘Pet Business Insurance’ and our premises have been inspected by a licensing officer from Ashfield District Council, and passed given 5 stars. All dogs staying with us will need to be vaccinated and flead.

Home Boarding Prices

Home boarding:
£20 per night / 24 hours for one small dog
£25 per night / 24 hours all other sizes.

Including 2 walks, 2 meals and treats. £10 additional
cost for pet from same household.
Includes local pickup and drop off from owners home, if required, at small cost.

Walking:
We only walk one to three dogs from the same household.
1 hour walk £12, extra £5 for another dog from the same household.
30 minutes short walk £10, extra £3 for another dog from the same
household. Time includes local collection, travelling to walk area, and drop-off
back to your home.

Doggy day care:
£18 inc. walk, meal and treats. £6 additional pet same household. Includes local pickup and drop off from owners home at small cost.

Visits:
Cat / dog / puppy / rabbit visit with feed, play and one litter box / one hutch clean (owner to provide litter / bedding material), £2.50 charge for
extra pet from same household. £7.50

Fully insured.
CRB checked.
Fully licensed by the local authority.
We care for your pets as we do our own, as we realise, like us, you love your animals and always want the best for them.
Your dog will be walked and given our full attention, we only walk one or two dogs from the same household, no trying to struggle looking after 6 dogs at once.
Boarding pets have their own room to relax in and access to other areas of the home (will be together if pets from the same household)
