About our Home Boarding

Fieldhead Pet Stays are licensed for 6 dogs by Kirklees Council, I have a great deal of knowledge about animals in general. Having being raised on a working dairy farm, and always having lots of pets. My daughters own and run Hiking Hounds dog walking business, which I started 20 years ago.

Accommodation:

Whilst the dogs are here at Fieldhead Pet Stays, they are treated as our pets, spending their time either in the house. Mainly the kitchen and utility are used by the dogs, although the kitchen is the hub of the house, and we hardly ever venture into the living room ourselves. The yard is enclosed and has various smaller areas of garden, and areas.

Exercise:

All the routines of pets that stay at Fieldhead Pet Stays are taken into account when bookings are completed, whether it be eating habits, walking and sleeping, and as we ask for their own belongings then we also try to make it as homely as possible to the animals staying. We have a secure dog walking enclosure, with a 6 foot outer fence and secure gates, so all dogs are safe to go off lead and enjoy the open field, which is about 1.5 acres - otherwise know as 'Acres of Fun' which can be hired separately, through our Facebook and Website.

Health & Hygiene:

All visiting pets to Fieldhead Pet Stays have to bring with them their proof of vaccination, usually in the booklet provided by the vet, with which they are registered with. All vaccinations should be completed at least 4 weeks prior to their stay.
The disinfectant used throughout is DEFRA approved for animal use.

Home Boarding Prices

Prices at Fieldhead Pet Stays are as follows:
1 dog = £30 per one day
2 dogs from the same home - £55 per one day
3 dogs from the same home - £80 per one day

All prices are per day, 24 hours, if your pets stay enters the next 24 hours from the arrival time, then a further day will have to be charged.
If the dogs are staying over a bank holiday, then these prices will be double, unless the stay is for 8 days or more. There is a 2-night minimum stay, payment on arrival please, by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Always best to book early.

Other Services

My daughters also run a dog walking business, and I offer cat home visits, if you have a nervous cat, or one who just prefers to stay at home.

Both of these services have to be local to where we already cover, eg Gomersal, Cleckheaton, Oakenshaw and Scholes. Whereas the dogs that visit for home boarding can be from further afield, I even have 2 dogs that regularly travel down from Aberdeen, en route to Manchester airport.
