About our Home Boarding

I've grown up with dogs & had my own dogs for most of my life starting with my first dog a labrador which was my 21st birthday present. Thus, I have a life time of experience with dogs & where some have been rescues. I have also worked in kennels where I mainly cared for dogs & cats in quarantine, & when short staffed I would help out in boarding, day care & the clipping room.

Accommodation:

I have quite a large house, but we tend to live in our dining room which is where the dogs tend to stay & sleep. There are dog beds down & owners can bring their own dog's beds, but the dogs don't usually sleep in them & end up on the sofa with us. I have artificial grass to two sides of the house, then a yard area to one side where part of it has a fixed canopy, so this area is kept dry & where we have outdoor furniture for the dogs to lay on. We also have a grape vine growing under the canopy to help keep this area cool in the summer months. During the warmer months we live with our back door open which leads out on to the canopied area of our yard, so the dogs can come in & out as they please. We have cameras fitted outside in order for us to keep an eye on the dogs should we need to do work inside. The yard area is walled & this is fencing. The rest of the garden has 6ft hedging & wire fencing which is fastened into the ground.

Exercise:

We live over the road from a beautiful enclosed & pretty secure park & it is here where we exercise the dogs. The dogs are walked twice a day am & pm. In the summer months boarding dogs are usually walked three times a day am, pm & evening. This is because we don't like to leave any dogs behind if we can help it, so we walk the boarders with the day care guests am & pm before they go home, then we walk again in the evening to ensure that the boarders sleep well & because we enjoy ourselves evening summer walks. But the amount of walks & length of the walks which are usually 45 minutes to 1 hour long, will depend on your dogs exercise capabilities.

Health & Hygiene:

Dogs have to be up to date with vaccinations, flea & worming treatments & owners are required to provide proof of this. Dogs need to be in good health & vet details are required on our consent form. Dogs who do require medication we ask permission to administer this on the consent form. Pet safe cleaning products are used for cleaning both inside the house & in the yard area. We spray a kennel disinfectant which kills a variety of animal disease germs over the artificial grass once a week, or more if needed.

Home Boarding Prices

Overnight Dog Boarding
From £35 (Per Dog) 10am to 10am.

Weekend Boarding
Friday to Monday (1 to 3 nights) are charged at £40 per night.

Bank Holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve & New Years Day will be charged at £70 per night.

Doggie Day Care
From £30 (Per Dog) 8am to 6pm

Weekend Day Care
Saturday & Sunday (1 to 2 days) is charged at £35 per day.
Bank holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve & New Years day will be charged at £60 per day.
