The Dog House

It's rare to find a dog sitter who you can fully trust and where you know your pooch will be spoilt with exciting walks! I'm very thankful to have found Alison and love receiving a daily update whilst we're away! Would highly recommend

Our Bernese mountain dog and spaniel have been regular holiday guests with Alison for the last couple of years. We are quite sure they are happy to be with Alison and we are confident that they are well looked after and have excellent walkies.

My 6 year old Golden Retriever has boarded several times at the Dog House with Alison. She is always super excited to go to stay and Alison is always accommodating and efficient. She clearly loves dogs and if we happen to meet her out at other times, our dog goes mad with excitement to see her! We feel that our dog is safe and happy when staying here.

Our sprollies love their time at The Dog House! They are always excited to see Alison & there's never a backward glance when we leave them - well, not from them anyway, they are away meeting new friends & catching up with old. They get plenty of exercise (a must for this lively pair!) & Alison always sends pics so we can see they're settled & happy - a lovely, thoughtful, touch. We couldn't leave them in safer hands. Highly recommended!

Wisley has been staying at Alison's off and on for the past three years. When I take him over and we turn up her road he makes his excited little whimpering noises that he only makes when we drive to his favourite walks or our home. He bounces out of the car and eagerly bounds up to her door. Sometimes I just book a few days with Alison to give him a holiday even if we are not away! He loves it so. I know he is safe and well looked after. Alison always answers my messages and calls ASAP and is very helpful if our plans suddenly have to change.

Alison has been looking after Kassie, our Labrador, for over a year & we had no hesitation at all boarding Kassie for over 7 weeks when we went on a long trip recently. Alison provides excellent care & lots of exercise for the dogs & we also had frequent updates including videos of Kassie while we were away. We highly recommend Alison @ The Dog House

I'm Hetty and I often stay at The Dog House with Alison. It's a bit scary to stay in a different place in the beginning. But I now love seeing and staying with Alison at The Dog House. Also it is a great opportunity for me to meet other friends, some are quiet others a little mad like me. Alison copes brilliantly with all our personalities.xxx

Our lab loves going to stay with Alison - always bounds in. I know that our dog gets lots of affection and company from Alison and family (and other dogs) while she is staying, as well as lots of walks. Reassuring to know that Alison is very careful about which dogs she will accept too. Would definitely recommend the Dog House.

Alison has been looking after Teddy our 2 year old Springer when we are away for over a year now. He bounds in to her house from the car and is very excited to see her. He obviously very happy to be there with his friends - whoever they may be 🐶

Alison has looked after our labrador Conker for years and he greets her so enthusiastically whenever he stays and I have no hesitation leaving him with her. As an older dog he is on daily medication which I trust Alison to give and as a Veterinary Nurse myself am very fussy with his care. Alison always goes the extra mile and looks after his old dog needs perfectly. He really doesnt want to come home! I can't recommend her enough.

Anna, my 7 year old vizsla has had two very successful holidays with Alison recently. Alison is friendly, welcoming, obviously good with dogs and very professional. There is plenty of space in the large kitchen for the 'residents'. The walks (and swims) are varied. Anna returns home calm, happy and settled. I feel confidant that she is well looked after.

We've been taking Libby, our Cairn Terrier, to The Dog House for a few years now and have always found Alison to be really professional and friendly - she has an obvious love of dogs! Libby is very happy there and I would thoroughly recommend Alison.

Maisy has been visiting Alison regularly since she was tiny and for her it is a home from home. She always visits Alison happily and is always settled and happy when we collect her. I would definitely recommend The Dog House to anyone looking for stress free dog care !!!

Our new Italian Spinone Enzo stays regularly with Alison and her family, his care is superb and he is just as happy with them as he is at home. He enjoys being with the other dogs, who are all vetted carefully by Alison so there are no conflicts. I have every confidence that in the event of sudden illness or injury he would be cared for just as he would at home. Alison once emailed us to say that Enzo was off his food so she was tempting him by cooking him chicken and rice; we had forgotten to tell her that it was a trick he sometimes employs when he fancies something different to his usual food!

For about 6 years now, our Labrador Ella has stayed with Alison every time we have gone away ranging from overnighters to 2 weeks. Alison is always our preferred choice since she truly loves the dogs she cares for and treats them like her own. Once when Ella had an upset stomach, Alison gave her marvellous care, taking her to the vet, keeping her informed and even cooking her special light meals. She provides a secure and comfortable environment for her dogs with twice daily walks in open countryside. Ella always greets Alison with enthusiasm and comes back happy and tired. So pleased to have been told about The Dog House! Peggotty loves her "holidays" with Alison. She jumps out of the car and rushes in to be reunited with the family. Such a relief to find such a comfortable" home from home" for my black lab when I go away, confident that she will be loved and cared for in my absence. Thank you Alison! What a gem this place is!

Alison has cared for our collie/springer for the last several years when we have gone away on holiday. Hattie is always obviously excited and happy when she realises where she is going and gallops straight in to Alison's house almost without a backward glance! She is equally happy when we collect her. Alison is very professional with regard to paperwork and is always helpful when making arrangements for dropping off and collection. I can thoroughly recommend The Dog House.

Alison has been regularly looking after Jess our Westie for about a year, both day care and boarding. Jess loves going, she gets excited the moment we turn into the road! She always comes back happy and tired! I would recommend Alison's care to any dog owner, it's great to go away and know that Jess is looked after in such a homely environment.
