Hi my name is Clare and I have kept a variety of pets for the last 20 years. These include dogs, cats, rabbits, guniea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, tortoise, chickens and fish. I am a BRC registered breeder of mini Rex rabbits and run a small pet boarding establishment in kent. I have two children and work part time but I spend most of my time with my animals. My priorities are the animals welfare and happiness.

Accommodation:

Happy buns is a small pet boarding establishment and I am a BMRC registered breeder of Mini Rex Rabbits. I am fully insured and can supply details on request. I also have an up to date Disclosure and barring check.
You will have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe and secure and being well cared for. Accommodation is spacious and secure in a large insulated summer house. Air conditioned in the summer if needed.
I have secure Double hutches, single hutches and large hutches with attached runs. Winter covers are used for outside accommodation during the winter months. Please ask for availability.
I also have large runs which your pet will have access to during the day.
I do request that you supply your own feed which they are used to. I feel this is better for their sensitive tummies but fresh hay and vegetables are available daily and included in the boarding fee. I am happy to offer bottled water and the bedding of your choice at additional cost. Dust extracted wood shavings and barley straw will be used unless you specify otherwise.
Please bring favourite toys and a hand full of used bedding to help them settle.
I do ask that you supply proof of vaccinations for rabbits:

-Myxomatosis
-Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD1)
-Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD2)

PLEASE NOTE FROM SEPTEMBER 2017 I WILL ALSO REQUIRE YOUR RABBIT TO HAVE THE NEW VACCINE FOR RHD2 AT LEAST 10 DAYS BEFORE THEY ARE BOARDED WITH ME. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR RABBITS AS WELL AS MY OTHER BOARDERS. PLEASE INQUIRE WITH YOUR LOCAL VET.

Please note a £35.00 minimum booking fee applies.

I also offer a collection and drop off service and home visits. Herne bay, Kent, Ct6 area.

Don’t forget I offer a 10% discount on all boarding buns that were born with me.

I require rabbits to have been bonded for at least six week prior to their stay if they are sharing a hutch so there is no disruption to the bonding process.
They must also be at least four weeks post op to make sure they are fully recovered from their procedure.
I can not be held responsible for any medical issues that arise if my terms are not respected.

Until I receive a deposit for your boarding place or the Rabbit you have shown interest in it will still be available to others. I can not hold places or turn potential homes away unless a deposit is received.

Please note deposits are non refundable and non transferable unless I am not able to provide the rabbit you have reserved or the boarding service I have offered. I will not be able to offer a refund on a non refundable/non transferable deposit if you’ve found a nicer colour rabbit, sold your rabbit you booked in for boarding or just changed your mind. I ask for deposits as peace of mind for myself and you as a customer. I will reserve the rabbit of your choice or a place for your pet for the dates you have asked for.

Due to the high risk of the VHD virus I have decided to keep visitors away from the garden and bunny sheds. Having a closed rabbity means less stress and risk for boarding customers and my own rabbits and young kits. Customers are more than welcome to come and meet me and I’m happy to send photos/videos of my set up and any buns available to reserve. I have lots of lovely reviews that will hopefully put your mind at ease. I’m very proud of my set up and have loved showing people around but I have to put them first. Even though my own rabbits and boarding customers are fully vaccinated my little ones are not and are very vulnerable until they are ready to leave. I hope you all understand.

Just a quick not to say please can you respect my collection and drop off times. If you are late back from the airport or get stuck in traffic I am very flexible but appreciate if you can keep me informed.

Also can you please bring the food pellets they are used to, enough to last the duration of their stay as changing their diet can be very stressful for them. Additional charges may be added if I have to purchase their normal food myself.
