About our Small Pet Boarding

I have owned rabbits all my life and through many years of experience I have learnt about the behaviours of rabbits and what is required to make “ A Happy Bunny”. At present I own two mini lops named Rocket and Ambrose who are now 4 years old. From understanding their individual personalities I have developed a strong bond with them.
Since the arrival of Ambrose and Rocket I have been on many holidays and have boarded my rabbits at a local boarding facility, that provided a great comfort to myself knowing that my bunnies were being well looked after. After recently moving to a new house I decided that the outdoor space provided the perfect opportunity to set a Rabbit boarding facility.
Highbank Bunny Boarding has been set up as a small boarding facility of only 3 luxury pens and so we are able to give your rabbits the one to one care and attention they deserve, making them feel at home. Please continue to view what we have to offer.

Accommodation:

Highbank Rabbit Boarding is a collection of purpose built sheds that are set in a peaceful setting within our secure garden. We provide 3 spacious pens within a large 19ft x 9ft and two hideaways that all have attached individual outside runs. On rainy days all the outside pens will be provided with waterproof covers.
The accommodation that we offer is suitable from one rabbit to five bonded rabbits.
Pen 1 – single rabbit. 3.6ft x 6 ft indoor pen attached to a outside pen 3ft x6ft
Pen 2 – large rabbit or a pair of bonded rabbits. 3.6ft x 6ft indoor pen attached to a 3ft x 7ft outside pen.
Pen 3 – Can accommodate upto 3 bonded rabbits. 4.4 ft x 9ft indoor pen attached to a 4ft x 8ft outside pen.
Hideaway 1 and 2 - These sheds can be interlocked to provide accommodation up to 5 bonded rabbits, pending on the set up you require.
Throughout the daytime the rabbits will have access to both indoor and outdoor runs.

Exercise:

The Pens have indoor outdoor access throughout the day,
which allows them to exercise when they wish. The pens have various hideouts and built up platforms which encourages the bunnies to exercise whilst exploring their environment. Please refer to my Pen sizes and pictures on my website.

Health & Hygiene:

Litter Trays, and water bottles and bowls are cleaned daily. Throughout the boarding the Pens are continuously kept c lean and tidy. All Bunnies are fed un limited high quality timothy hay during their stay that is included in the daily price as well as foraging dried treats that are provided daily.

We also sell wild foraging foods to our customers as well as dried foods including Dandelion, Dandelion root, cleavers , mint, Mixed flowers and rose petals
