About our Small Pet Boarding

We board: RabbitsGuinea PigsHamsters, Mice etc.

We have 10 years experience of handling and looking after small animals. We have owned many hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and have volunteered at local city farm where we were able to gain lots of knowledge about their diets, lifestyle and handling.

Based in Beckton, East London, E6.

Accommodation:

We only offer inside accommodation.

~ 2 rabbit cages (suitable for 2 guinea pigs/1 rabbit*)

~ 2 guinea pig cages (suitable for 1 guinea pig)

*Rabbits will have an extension attached to their cage for more space when not let out for exercise.

*Bedding: dust-free wood shavings or megazorb (paper pulp).
*Litter tray (rabbits): recycled paper pellets.

When multiple pets boarding, we do not allow contact with each other to prevent accidents and illnesses.

Exercise:

All pets will be let out for min. 2 hours per day.

The house is pet proofed.

All pets will be let out after one another and play area will be disinfected after every animal.

Health & Hygiene:

Cages will be cleaned and disinfected before and after use.

*Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis, Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD-1 and RHD-2).*

*Male rabbits must be neutured.*

For hygiene purposes, bring pet's water bottle, feeding bowl, litter tray (rabbits), pellets*, toys and blankets for comfort.


*Pellets - we do not supply pellets. If your pet's dry food finish during their stay, we may be able to purchase desired pellets. Payment is required upon receipt and pellets will be given to you on day of pick up.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

Reserving Boarding Dates: 50% deposit required within 48hours of enquiry. (Deposit only reserves the dates of enquiry)

Booking Boarding: 50% deposit and fully complete boarding form. Form must be sent back 1 week prior to arrival.

*Remaining 50% is payable 1 day before arrival via BACS/ in CASH on the day of arrival.*


*No mice, chinchilla, degu, rats*

PLEASE NOTE: additional fee of £10 per day to be charged if pet's stay falls on Bank Holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: failure to bring pet's water bottle, feeding bowl, litter tray (rabbit) will come with additional £5 and is added on to entire duration of pet's stay.


**Calculation of cost: 1 day is for 24hrs, which starts from time of drop off**

Hamster: £7.00 per day per hamster.
PLEASE BRING HAMSTER CAGE

Guinea Pig: £9.00 per day for 1 guinea pig.
£14.00 for bonded pair (max.2 in shared cage).
£16.00 for piggies requiring separate cages.

Rabbit: £13.00 per day for 1 rabbit.
(Cannot accommodate pair rabbits!)

***The prices include fresh hay, fresh fruit and veg, play time and cleaning***

- Dog Walking: Only offer walks in Beckton. Pick up from house and drop off to house.

1 hour walk: £15
2 hour walk: £25

Other Services

*Dog walking in Beckton. This includes 1-2hour walk, please specify in enquiry.

- We do not offer grooming or claw clipping.

- Please bring with nails trimmed.

- We do not offer pick ups or drop offs. No home visits.

Diana looked after our Guinea pigs this summer and we were very happy with the care they received. Diana was a pleasure to deal with and sent us frequent photos and updates about our happy piggies. When one our piggies was ill, she handled the situation sensitively and with care. I would definitely recommend Piglet and Fluffy's Boarding.

The booking process was quick and communication was great as I had quick responses. I had thought this would be a suitable environment for my pet rabbit. My rabbit was only there for 2 nights (May 2024) but I would not go back! I had received updates about his wellbeing (including pictures/videos), telling me he is fine and that he had no issues. I explained that my rabbit was prone to diarrhea when stressed. I provided a care plan and included Fibreplex medication in case he had loose stool. They assured me he was fine throughout his stay. When I went to pick him up he had loose stool (clearly diarrhea) stuck to his fur all over his underside, even though I was reassured he did not have any loose stool during his stay. When I got home I found poop smeared all over the fleeces I provided as well as in his toy tunnel (which were unsalvageable and I had to throw away). Clearly he had very loose stool but they had failed to inform me. The poop was very dried down and stuck too, so it was not like it had just happened. I messaged my concerns and asked why I was not informed and why Fibreplex was not administered. The response was not adequate and she stated that the morning of pick up she was out of the house and the other boarder would be there for pick up. She said had not noticed anything. Would not go back to this boarder!!!

I am sure you are well aware that rabbits are very sensitive to changes in their environment and it is the owner's responsibility to decide whether leaving them at a completely new place is suitable for the pet, regarding their emotional wellbeing. The updates received from us provides the most up to date and accurate information regarding your pet. As discussed on the day of collection, there were no gastro symptoms in the morning and only noticed loose stools just before collection.

2nd time we used piglet & fluffy, this time for our two guinea pigs. They came back happy, she kept us updated on whatapp while looking after them and sent pics. Thanks. We'll be in touch again with another booking next time!

Diana took care of my two piggies in May. I really liked the photos and short messages about them getting settled and also loved that they could run free in the secure flat. Poor booking process and no way to contact provider other than email. After paying a deposit and sending the booking form, the provider cancelled my booking a day before a 2 week break. This was explained as a due to an error on my part in filling out the pdf booking form.

Boarders Response:Thank you for your review Stuart. Our preferred way to communicate with our clients is through email to keep a history of communication. It is to provide a peace of mind and provide a smooth drop off. Phone number is only given out once pet has been dropped off, to keep in contact with owner via WhatsApp. The deposit only reserves your pet’s dates for boarding, it does not book them in. Completed boarding form is required to book your dates, so other clients cannot book. There were several days of no communication from your end after sending our response to your enquiry. We deemed you do not wish to board with us and booked others in. Our email states the form “must be sent back 1 week prior to arrival”. The form was received 2 days before date of arrival and was incomplete. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure form is fully complete. We have contacted you raising this concern and received no response for more than 24hours, hence was obliged to book other pets in.

Diana looked after my Russian dwarf hamster for 2 weeks in August and did a fantastic job. I received regular updates, including pictures when possible, and Diana gave me lots of really helpful advice (i.e. regarding what foods my hamster had eaten and what they liked and didn't like etc). Diana was really responsive and the whole booking process was super easy too. I will definitely be booking in with Diana again - thank you!

Diana looked after my hamster for two weeks with regular picture updates. There were some concerns regarding my hamster's grooming habits which she communicated with me and found solutions too. She was really accommodating regarding the drop off and pick up times too!

They looked after our hamster for a couple of weeks, all went smooth, had photo updates, hamster came back today looking healthy and happy. Easy/quick drop off/collection (near the dlr station). we will be in touch again next time we need someone to look after our hamster.

Diana looked for our hamster Ginger brilliantly. She kept us posted daily and even showed him a couple of new tricks. She's a wonderful pet sitter, very knowledgeable and creative finding solutions.

Our two boys were well looked after and treated to fresh veggies during their stay. Diana even kindly gave us a bag of vegetables for them when we came to pick them up.
