About our Small Pet Boarding
RabbitsGuinea PigsEstablished in 2023, Langney Lodge Small Animal Boarding provides holiday accommodation services for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs all year round. Whether you are going on holiday, moving home or undergoing noisy renovations, your pets' welfare is our top priority. The lodge is run by Connor who is a wildlife and biodiversity professional with more than 10 years experience working with small animals. Langney Lodge Small Animal Boarding started as a hobby and now provides holiday boarding services for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs. The lodge is operated from our secure and private garden, and during their stay our guests are treated as our own.
Accommodation:
GUINEA PIGS
Our guinea pig guests are accommodated within a secure shed at our home and are kept on wood shavings. We accommodate guests in our top of the range Chartwell Hutches. We have 5 ft and 4 ft holiday hutches available. Outdoor runs are also available for daily exercise during the day, with access to fresh grass and veggies. For the duration of their stay, guests have exclusive access to their own holiday hutches and runs.
A guinea pig stay includes:
- Accommodation in our Chartwell holiday hutches
- 24/7 access to fresh water and hay
- Daily pellet feed (owner to provide)
- Daily fresh veggies and your pet's favourite treat
- Access to fresh grass in our outdoor runs
- Regular cleaning including disinfectant sprays
- Plenty of handling, grooming and cuddles
RABBITS & GUINEA PIG HERDS
Our rabbit guests are accommodated within a purpose built shed named "Thyme Cottage" which provides 24 square feet of space. We are also happy to accommodate guinea pig herds in Thyme Cottage, please see our pricing below. Thyme Cottage is insulated, keeping the warmth in during winter and the heat out during summer. A bespoke hay rack, water bottle holder, bed box and plenty of toys are included. Guests staying in Thyme Cottage also have daily access to our lawn via use of our flexi runs. Alternatively, we have an 8 ft secure run, which can be used during periods of good weather. For the duration of their stay, guests will have exclusive access to Thyme Cottage.
A rabbit or guinea pig herd stay includes:

Exercise:
Weather permitting, outdoor runs are available for daily exercise on our lawn. For the duration of their stay, guests will have exclusive access to their own holiday accommodation and runs.
Health & Hygiene:
We regularly clean our holiday accommodation with disinfectant spray but ask that all animals arrive in good health and hygiene. Please refer to the T&Cs on our website before booking a stay.
All rabbits must have been vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Haemorrhagic Viral Disease R(V)HD1 R(V)HD2 at least seven days before coming to stay. This is important for the health of our own animals and that of the other guests. Please provide proof of vaccination from your veterinary clinic upon booking.

All pricing is based on a per night basis with guests from a single booking sharing one of our holiday hutches or Thyme Cottage. Additional hutches are available at extra cost pending availability.
Guinea Pigs:
Single = £6.00
Pair = £9.00
Trio = £11.00
(Maximum three per hutch)
Upgrade to Thyme Cottage
(+£2.00 per night)
Rabbits:
Single = £10.00
Pair = £12.00
Trio = £14.00
(Thyme Cottage only)
Guinea Pig Herds:
We can accommodate guinea pig herds in
Thyme Cottage.
Four = £13.00
(+£1.00 for every additional guinea pig)

Subject to availability, we can provide pet pick up and drop off. Due to limited pet carriers, we ask that owners provide a suitable carrier for their pet. Please contact us for a quote and to check availability.

The ‘good lady' (my wife) always worries about Lily the rabbit when we stay away. Lily is an 8 year old rabbit, this was our first experience of leaving Lily with Connor, we had images sent to us for reassurance, she was happy & eating all sorts of veg - that she refuses at home. My rabbits Hank and Mouse had a fantastic stay at Langney Lodge. Connor was enormously communicative and helpful, offering to pick me up from the nearby train station which saved me a taxi fare. The accommodation for rabbits is also fantastic, consisting of a large insulated shed with a variety of toys and objects for enrichment, as well as access to an outdoor run around area when the weather is a bit nicer. I received a bunch of updates with how they were doing over my week away, so I was always kept at ease. It's clear that Connor really loves animals, and provides your pets with the best care possible. I cannot recommend Langney Lodge enough, and I'm sure Hank and Mouse will be back again the next time they're in need of a holiday!

This is the most amazing place for our little fury friends. Would not hesitate taking pur guineapig back for another holiday, we have been kept updated throughout the last week. 10/10.

My two guinea pigs had such an amazing time whilst with Connor. They were well cared for and settled in really easily. Connor is brilliant he is quick to reply to queries, sends regular updates on how your pets are getting on. I cannot recommend him enough, thank you so much 😀

Langney Lodge was amazing looking after Poppy and Pippin whilst I had a weekend away. Connor was lovely, super friendly and very attentive ensuring the very best care for my pets. He provided me with regular updates and photos to give me peace of mind whilst I was away. Highly recommend Langney Lodge to anybody needing somewhere for their rabbits and guinea pigs to stay whilst they go away, and ensuring they have the best care! I'll definitely be bringing my Poppy and Pippin back when I next go away!

I am so glad I found this place for my bunnies!! Connor was so kind since day one, he collected by bunnies and delivered at the scheduled date. I can tell Brandy and Pippo were well taken care of. Connor updated me with some pictures during my holidays for my peace of mind and I couldn't thank him enough! I totally recommend this place :) My bunnies will be back for sure! Thank you Connor!!

This place is a lovely little retreat for our guinea pigs which were well cared for during their staycation! Connor was very friendly and only takes on a few boarders at any one time so our pigs received lots of attention. Look forward to booking again soon. Thank you!

Langley Lodge were extremely friendly and caring, Connor was helpful at explaining how the boarding works and how he will look after our 2 guinea pigs. Highly recommend to anyone who need their pets looking after while they are away
