About our Small Pet Boarding

Hi, my name is Karen and I run a home from home luxury boarding service. When you go on your holiday, you can rest in the knowledge that your pets are safe, secure and having a wonderful time and being well cared for and loved here at Nork Rabbit and Guinea Pig Hotel.

Accommodation:

All our inside guests are housed securely with heating when needed later in year and airconditioned for the warmed summer days and a radio to keep them company when we are not about. The boarding is safe from foxes, with a lovely view of the garden and plenty of natural light. I have one luxury room available for giant bunnies or house bunnies that require more space.
Our outside guests are accommodated securely in our newly built sheltered area.

Guinea pigs are housed in 4ft and 5ft hutches, I use fleece for Guinea pig bedding. Large 6ft x 2ft x 2ft hutches for rabbits. Plus indoor room for giant breeds and house bunnies that require extra space.

I also board small furries such as Chinchillas, degu, hamsters, mice and rats.

Please call and discuss with me if you have more than 2 piggies or bunnies that all live together. I will see what space I have available for larger groups.

Exercise:

Daily exercise, love and cuddles, as long as they like cuddles! we know there are some grumpies out there too! We provide supervised exercise in safe runs outside in good weather, or indoors when it is raining or too chilly.

Health & Hygiene:

Rabbit hutches are thoroughly cleaned daily, Guinea pig hutches spot cleaned daily and thoroughly cleaned every other day. Fresh hay trays every day.
In the unlikely event a vet is required I will take your pet to my local vet in Banstead where we take all our family pets. (All costs are to be paid by the owner on collection of their pet) Unless of course, you the client specify a vet that is within a reasonable distance to me. I charge £8 to take your pet to the vet.

I would be most grateful if you could let me know if your pet has been ill within the last 6 months.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

Rates are PER DAY OR PART THEREOF (see bottom of page for Xmas/New Year) as follows:

I guinea pig £8.00, 2 Guinea pigs sharing £9.00
3 guinea pigs sharing £10.00 (larger hutch £11.00),4 Guinea pigs sharing £12.00

1 Rabbit £10.00, Bonded pair sharing hutch £11.00 Bonded Trio £12.00

Luxury room - House/Giant rabbit breeds £16.00 per day in own room (2 sharing)

Rabbits MUST bring their vaccination certificates for EVERY stay, please note that I am unable to accept them under ANY circumstance without seeing this.
Two weeks must have elapsed after final vaccination, please also ensure your rabbit/s are wormed (panacur).

You must advise us if your pet has had any illnesses in the last 6 months prior to their stay with us.

PLEASE also ensure that their bottoms are clean before they arrive for their holidays.

Their stay includes hay, fresh fruit and veg, dry food, provided once/twice a day (as required).

Dried food :
Excel Adult Guinea Pig & Science selective Guinea pig
Excel Adult Rabbit or Science Selective Rabbit

If your piggies or rabbits have a different brand of dried food then please bring it with them to save any tummy upsets.

Chinchilla & Degus pairs £7.00 per day.

Tortoises are £6.00 per day.

Rats, mice, gerbils and hamsters are £3.50 per day (must come in their own cage and bring their food with them).

I can look after smaller bird breeds, that will not need to be let out of their cage £5.00 per day.

Sorry Credit cards are not taken.

Payment by cash or direct transfer to my bank. (Please ask for bank details at time of booking)

I also request that full payment is made at the start of your pets stay with me. Thank you.

Deposit payable of £10 which is non refundable in the event of cancellation.

Please note: Cancellation within 48 hours of stay will be charged at full rate unless I can fill that space.

A downloadable booking form is on my website www.norkpiggies.co.uk and bookings are not guaranteed until I have received the form and deposit.

Christmas/New year will be charged at rate and a half and 50% of cost must be paid as a deposit which will be non refundable in the event of cancellation.
